Los Angeles can be safely attributed to the ideal cities for bicycle rides. You should only choose the best route for yourself. How to spend an active holiday? It is necessary to take a bike, a helmet for safety, a snack and go on one of the best bicycle rides in Los Angeles together with I-los-angeles.
LA RIVER track
It is from this track that the selection of the city’s best cycling routes begins. In Los Angeles, for instance, there are tracks intended for bicyclists, skateboarders, for instance. The LA RIVER track is one of the tracks that lead from Griffith Park to Elysian Park and vice versa.
Not far from the track is the Frogtown Cafe (where you can replenish your supply of burned calories), a bicycle repair shop, where you can rent for a day such an easy-to-use vehicle.

Griffith Park
It is quite romantic to go for a bike ride against the background of the famous Hollywood Sign. By choosing a route around Griffith Park, this is possible. Along the way, you will encounter other attractions, because the territory is covered with landscape paths. There are caves and canyons.
It is worth remembering about the accessibility of bicycle paths, because not all of them are open. Appropriate signs will guide you and help you orientate. Climbing the Mount Hollywood Drive will be a great test of your determination and endurance, as not everyone is able to overcome such a grueling route.

The Strand
This is quite a well-known 22-mile Marvin Braude Bike Trail that runs from the California coast and from Torrance County Beach to Will Rogers State Beach.
This route is an excellent option for those who do not mind stopping and taking a dip in the Pacific Ocean along the way and then continuing their trip.
Marvin Braude Bike Trail is suitable for those who have the time and endurance to deal with it. The pathway can be sandy and crowded (especially on weekends). The route is interrupted twice: in Marina del Rey and near Hermosa Beach.

Los Angeles State Historic Park
It is located near Chinatown. A charming 32-acre area is suitable either for walking or for bicycling, jogging and family picnics. So this is one of the bike routes that deserves the attention of Los Angeles residents.
Chandler Bikeway
There used to be old railroad tracks near North Hollywood, but the area was later cleared, and a paved trail was made in 2004. One can comfortably travel by bicycle on this trail, as there are marked lanes for walking, jogging or bicycling.
In the context of this route, the view of the Verdugo Mountains deserves special attention. The outskirts are decorated with strange sculptures and works of street art, landscape design. In the evening, the road is well lit by the lights of nighttime Los Angeles, which adds romance and mystery.

Ballona Creek
This bike path stretches for 7 miles. It will lead the bicyclist directly to the Playa del Rey Beach. Start the route from the Syd Kronenthal Park and enjoy the calm ocean breeze. You will encounter elegant parks on the way.
In the winter months, you should definitely check the weather forecast, because the track at river level can be flooded. In such a case, the road will be blocked due to rain.

Mandeville Canyon Road
Such a track will be a real challenge due to tortuosity and hurdles. This bike path is loved by those who are not afraid of difficulties. Bicyclists will move up with like-minded people and a small number of cars.
Arroyo Seco Rose
This track is adored by those who choose sports cycling. In Pasadena, near the golf course, there is a 3-mile loop with complications, which is chosen not only by cyclists, but also by runners. The road is well lit in the dark.
The Arroyo Seco Rose Bike Path offers the most varied views: a parking lot, the slopes of Ernest E. Debs Regional Park and the San Gabriel Mountains. In rainy weather, you need to be prepared for limited access.
This route can hardly be called adventurous, but this is one of the many great ways to keep fit. Most runners and cyclists use the 3-mile loop as their basic workout because of the gentle slope and constant ascents and descents.

Cycle track “Shoreline”
It is a multi-mile paved path that runs along the beach. Its construction was completed in 1988. Bicyclists often choose this route for its ocean views and marked lanes for bicycle tracking.
If you like silence and appreciate the opportunity to be alone, then it is better to choose weekdays, because on the weekends the Long Beach coast is crowded.
Saddle Peak Loop
Such a cycling tour is an expert one, as it requires a very good physical condition. The starting point of the bike path is near the parking lot.
The Saddle Peak Loop is a real cycling tour where you can test your endurance and strength.

San Fernando Track
This bike path is 6 miles from Sylmar district to Pacoima, passing through the Сity of San Fernando. The route for bicyclists and runners is paved. The territory is landscaped and illuminated, so it is pleasant and convenient to ride on it and to overcome new challenges for oneself.
Roads through the Elysée Park
Traffic near the park is usually light and slow. Elysée Park is located 10 minutes from the central part of Los Angeles. It is quite easy to find a quiet place both on weekdays and on weekends.
Elysée Park is one of the oldest ones in Los Angeles, so it offers to enjoy a variety of transplanted tree species and wonderful views. Such a bike path is hilly, so it will be difficult for beginners.
Park to Playa
More than 20 years of development, and in late 2020, the 12-mile route, which runs from the Crenshaw neighborhood to the ocean in Playa del Rey, was finally completed. Journalist Chava Sanchez and reporter Sharon McNary were the first to run and ride on the relatively new bike path. Along the way, they met other Los Angeles nature lovers. The advantages of this bicycle path are as follows:
• along the way there are landmarks: the Hollywood sign, the skyscrapers in the central part of Los Angeles and the high-rise buildings of Century City are visible
• views of the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook
• there is an opportunity to enjoy the territory from Ballona Creek to the Pacific Ocean
• park to Playa is a wonderful place for photo sessions due to the stunning scenery.
It is with the bicycle route through the park to Playa that I would like to complete this list. We are convinced that every resident of Los Angeles can add his favorite route or some of the best paths for comfortable cycling.

The number of bicyclists in the city is increasing
Beginning from the San Gabriel Mountains to the Santa Monica Mountains, you can see bicyclists of all ages who genuinely enjoy cycling.
It is worth remembering safety, such as upholding local cycling and traffic laws. A bicycle helmet is another important security element that should be purchased in advance.
Every year, the number of bicyclists in Los Angeles increases, as it is a way not only to get to know the city better, but also to always keep yourself in great shape.
